The Secret World of Arrietty comes to the big screen as a Japanese animated remake of a British movie classic, telling the story of a family of small beings who don't even reach ten centimetres in height, and until now have remained hidden from human sight.
These small beings, Borrowers, live hidden below the floorboards in a country house, and until now no-one has ever seen them. But when a young Borrower called Arrietty meets a young human boy all that changes. Over time a strong friendship grows between the boy and the Borrowers, but then the world of Arrietty and her fellows comes under threat.
